Earth Day Celebration

People nowadays take some things for granted. One of which is our planet. Most of us abuse our environment. We are responsible for all the pollution that is going on in our planet. Too much carbon dioxide is being emitted by factories, vehicles, and burning of fossil fuels for electricity purposes. This triggers our atmosphere to be thicker. When this happens, global warming occurs. Global warming can cause destructive effects to our planet. We must do something in order to save our planet and most especially ourselves. This is a time for all mankind to work as one in order to preserve the earth and make it a better place to live in.
As a young individual, I can help in preserving our planet by not polluting our environment. I can influence my friends or my fellow individual in cleaning up our surroundings and segregate the wastes properly. Wastes should be segregated rather than to be burned. Burning of wastes causes carbon emission. I can also help in saving our planet by not using too much electricity. As an I.T. student, computer and other gadgets are my basic needs in order to accomplish my work. All of us know that computers have a large consumption of electricity. As a user, I will only allocate a specific time for using the computer. I would also lessen watching television. All of us should conserve energy or electricity. We should only use it when needed. Conservation of water is also a way in saving our planet. We only have a limited supply of water. Time will come when water would not be so abundant. We must take these things into consideration in order to save our planet. All of us are capable of saving our environment. We must be determined and we must act as one in preserving our planet.
